Annual General Meeting 22nd January 2012

At our Annual General Meeting held on 22nd January, members heard of the exciting investment plans proposed for 2012 on the clubhouse and course from our General Manager, Peter Chandler and Course Manager, Darren Child.

Steven Shipley was elected Golf Club Captain for 2012. Steven told members “My election as captain for 2012 marks 30 years since my grandparents, Albert and Betty Shipley were men’s and ladies’ captains at Hawkhurst and I am delighted to follow in their footsteps.”

Mick Hodgson was elected as Steven’s Vice Captain and Tom Morrow Club Secretary. Tom takes over from Stuart Groves. At the AGM, the Committee Cup and Trueman Trophy for the best Medal rounds in 2011 were presented to Darren Child with Tom Morrow receiving the Eyas Shield for the best Stableford rounds.
